Our Mission

I believe we can all agree that what we put into our body is pretty important.

Have you ever noticed that bread, in some form, is considered a food staple across every culture and cuisine?

Coincidence? We think not!

Obviously, any type of bread starts with a grain – and down through the centuries, wheat has been the favorite. And why not? Wheat is packed with essential nutrients, fiber, vitamins, and so much more! So why do so many people struggle with it? Whether it’s an intolerance for gluten, or a tendency to overdose on the carbs, bread is often named as the culprit in many dietary issues. But the truth is – it’s not the bread. It’s the flour. Even “enriched” flour can never compete with the nutritional value of freshly-milled flour.

The chart at the end of this article makes that clear!

Our body’s health affects our brain’s health, which affects everything else.

Everyone has experienced it at some point – lack of focus, excessive fatigue, “brain fog”. While many different factors can play a part in this, there’s one cause that’s often at the root of it all:

A lack of proper nutrition!

And what better place to get all of that necessary nutrition than where all plant life begins?

The SEED.

Seeds contain all of the vital nutrition that the plant will need to grow healthy and strong. By harvesting them before the true leaves of the plant appear, we can get all of that life and energy packed into small, tasty, and easily-digested packages called “sprouts”.

Sprouts: Are They Good For You?
by Dr. Jabeen Begum

When we think of health, we often neglect the most vital part of us: our soul.

We’re not just talking about our “feelings” here – as humans, our feelings are the shallowest part of our being. And while it can be important to our overall sense of wellbeing that we feel good about what we’re feeding our body and our mind, there’s another aspect of ourselves that needs our attention. Some people call it our soul, some call it our spirit, others just call it our vibe or personality. However you choose to view it, one thing is clear…

It’s the source of WHO WE ARE.

Who we are and how we make our mark on the world around us is what life is all about, right? We at Abide Farm & Co have found how and where to best feed our souls, and we’d love to share!
